Lexi girl, my sweet babydoll, and our little beach babe, we first introduced you to the lure of the beach- sun, sand, and waves, last year when you were not quite one year old yet. We visited Santa Rosa Beach, Florida in April of 2015 when you were just 11 months and change. Oh, and you took right to it. You loved the water. You tried to eat the sand (and succeeded too). You let us put little hats on you and were content because it was what we wanted. Oh, such a sweet little poppet at the beach for the very first time.
Then a couple months later, we tagged along with Daddy on a work trip to Charleston, SC where you visited Folly Beach. Oh, such joy- you and the water. You've always been drawn to it!
Fast forward one year, and just look at you now. These pictures were taken in Tampa Bay, Florida in April of 2016, just shy of your second birthday. You are no longer just a baby sitting in the sand. Oh no! You are a full blown toddler, running all over the beach, playing with toys and other kiddos, and still loving the water. Something tells me you will always love the beach, my dear. You won't really let us put hats on you anymore, but you do wear sunglasses, so that's something at least. The difference between this year and last is just amazing. Just look at you grow, baby girl!
