You cut two more teeth this month. Your bottom right i-tooth on February 4, and the left one in mid-February. Now, you just have your final set of molars and you will be all done with teething. Big girl.
You have started pulling all kinds of faces. These faces aren't really associated with any real mood or anything. I think you are just practicing making new faces.
This month you are really enjoying playing in the dog bowls, much to the chagrin of both me and sweet Izzie.
Early in the month, I asked if you wanted tacos as we pulled into our Mexican restaurant. You responded yes, rice and beans, milk... You get it, you really get it.
After each meal, I always wipe you down really good, your face and your hands. As I'm washing your hands, I start with one and then you always say "this one too" and point to the other hand, same with taking off your shoes- "this one too". Don't worry, baby. Mama knows you have two hands and two feet.
You started saying "Coat off" or "jacket off" as soon as we get home, sometimes while we are still in the driveway. You definitely understand the routine.
You've also been saying "Hear that?" whenever you hear a big noise. Things like a dog barking, a siren, an airplane, or a big truck. Then you follow up by saying "not sure" if you can't immediately identify the sound.
You have moved up a shoe size this month. Kind of... Your feet are noticeably bigger now. You were in a size 5 shoe, some of which still fit. Others are definitely out now. But most of your size 6 shoes are still way too big. Hmmmm.....
Your talking is so much more conversational this month. Now you repeat whole phrases and sentences instead of just one or two words at a time. I talk to you and you answer. You start all sorts of conversations. We chat all day. You are such good company, babydoll.
You are counting to 13, 14 now on your own. That was fast! And a little unbelievable. But you can do it. You are such a smart cookie!
You still love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. This month, you have a new fascination with Professor Von Drake. You call him "Professor Drake". I think you have figured out that he is pretty much the same character as "Scrooge" from your "Minnie Christmas" show that you loved so much. You are also answering the questions they ask on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse now.
Lexi, you stayed with Grammie and Pa Pa while Mommy and Daddy went to NY for Mommy's birthday this month. They had such a good time with you, and we got lots of good reports and sweet pictures while we were away.
Mommy is busy clearing out and preparing for Spring consignment sales this month. We have already completed one, and have two others coming up very soon!
We are planning a family vacation to Canada this summer, so we need to get you a passport. Daddy decided to take your passport photo himself, and in the end we settled on the photo above. It's darling, and Daddy carefully edited it to all the required specifications to use for your passport. When we went to get it printed, we were told that it wouldn't work after all because of your ginormous BOW! It's considered the same as a head covering which isn't allowed. Ha! I never thought of it as THAT big, and it's so much so a part of your identity. Alright, we will have to try again.
Finally, you pottied on the big girl potty for the first time this month! That was a BIG deal!! You are starting to tell us when you need to go now. And the instant you wet your diaper, you want me to change you now. Hmmm, that's new too.
Lexi girl, you are just everything in this world! We love you so much!
