Lexi's First Visit to Disney World

Edit Posted by with No comments
Lexi girl, we just returned from a little Spring Break trip down to the Tampa Bay area in Florida.  We wanted to get in one more flight before you turned 2 (so you could fly for free!).  We had such a wonderful time.  We stayed steps away from the beach so we walked there every morning and you played and loved the sand and the water.  On the last day, your Daddy asked if we wanted to do something different.  He mentioned there was a parade and a festival happening in a nearby town, so off we went!  As it turns out, Daddy was really taking us to Disney World!  How sneaky and how wonderful!

This was your reaction!  We arrived just as the park opened for the day, and we stayed the whole day. You LOVED every bit of it!

Of course, Daddy thought of everything, and he had a Fast Pass to meet Mickey Mouse as soon as we arrived.  Here you are heading it to see that famous mouse!

And here you are with Mickey!  Oh, you got along famously!  Just look at that sweet smile!

And while we had his attention, we asked for a big favor- would you do the Hot Dog Dance with us?

And of course, OF COURSE, he obliged!

Here you are being precious in Mickey's Magical Theatre!  The fun and the day were just beginning though!

So it was off to Main Street, USA in the Magical Kingdom.  Here we are taking it all in.  We caught the tail end of one of the parades and then stopped for lunch in the shade before heading into the rest of the park.

Daddy also had a Fast Pass to the Flying Dumbo ride so we hopped in line.  We didn't have to wait long before we nabbed up our very own Dumbo.  Here you are taking flight!

You LOVED that ride, so we rode a couple times.  You kept saying "AGAIN, AGAIN, AGAIN!"

And we let you control the lever that sent the elephant up into the air.  We flew HIGH!

Then it was off to spin ourselves silly in the Teacup ride.

Oh, what fun!  You LOVED spinning FAST!

Da da hooked you up on the Prince Charming Carousel.  I loved your horse.  It was so pretty!  We had just rode a carriage in Downtown St. Pete the night before so you kept saying "Ride the Duke!"  Duke was the horse's name that rode us around that night.  How sweet!

We also rode the Peter Pan ride, Small World, and Ariel's Grotto (which takes you "under the sea"). Here are you and Daddy outside that ride checking out the water.  Daddy even took you into see a 3D show too.  It was all so magical and you really did love all the rides.  Big eyes, fascinated looks, just taking it all in...

Here we are meeting Goofy after naptime.  The whole family got in on the action.

But it was Donald Duck that had your attention.  You just kept inching closer and closer to him until you were right up on him, loving up on that duck.

As the day started winding down, we grabbed a few pics as we headed toward Adventureland.  Here's Mama and you by Cinderella's Castle.

We climbed all the way to the top of the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.  It was so cool, and you were so good to go along for the ride.  The last ride of the night was the Jungle Boat ride, which you LOVED.  You spotted all the animals and pointed them out and made all the animal sounds along the way.

Lexi, I would give you an A+ for your first trip to Disney!  You were an angel baby all day.  Such a trooper, and you had a ball!  Oh, it was magical, for all of us, but especially seeing it through your eyes!  What a wonderful surprise your Daddy gave us!  We love you, Babydoll!
