At the Petting Zoo

Lexi, this is one of my favorite childhood photos of me and my Mama (and sister, Donna).  We were at a petting zoo, and the story goes that I was afraid of the goat.  I don't remember that, but the picture doesn't lie I guess. 

Incidentally, whenever I look at this photo, I just see your sweet little face looking back at me. Everyone still says you look just like your Daddy, but Mama can see it.  You are definitely my baby girl. 

Now here we are all these years later petting on another baby goat.  You love animals so much I can't imagine you will ever be afraid of them.  That does make me happy because I love animals too, but we will need to be sure to instill a healthy respect for them too.  It's all about balance, my dear.  Love you so much, sweet girl!
