Lexi's 2015 Travels

Edit Posted by with No comments
Babydoll, our year of travels started in April of 2015 to Panama City Beach, FL.  It was your first time on a plane and your first time at the beach.  We rented a gorgeous house in Santa Rosa Beach. We took bike rides with you in the baby cart attached to our bikes. We had afternoon drinks and appetizers on the porch while you napped or played at our feet.  It was a wonderful little trip.

Then, in May of 2015, we traveled to Gatlinburg, TN for Grammie's fly fishing expedition.  We watched from the shore while Grammie tested the waters (literally).

In June of 2015, you and I traveled by plane together to Charleston, SC, to meet Daddy who was already there on a business trip.  We arrived the night of the Charleston church shooting.

It was hot as blue blazes all weekend.  We visited the aquarium, took a horse carriage tour, and bought you a handmade sock monkey in the old slave market.  Of course, we also visited the beach again.  You are a beach baby!

In September 2015, we visited Washington, DC for Daddy's birthday.  We rented an apartment in the heart of the city for the week.  We visited the National Zoo, the White House, the Lincoln memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, the Washington Monument, the Smithsonian Museums of National History, Air and Space, and Natural History, Georgetown, old Alexandria, VA, the Bureau of Engraving, and the National Capital.  We also saw congress in session.  What a treat!  You rode the subway for the first time.  We logged no telling how many miles on the stroller that week, and of course you were an angel!

Of course, there were multiple visits to see family in 2015 too.  We visited Grammie and Pa Pa in Evansville, IN for Easter and Independence Day, as well as in the fall for our annual trip to the Fall Festival and photo in our tree.

It was back to Gatlinburg, TN and a cabin in the mountains for Thanksgiving with Grammie and Pa Pa. You helped churn butter for the first time.  It's a Cruser family tradition!

We visited North Carolina in the fall to see family, and again at Christmas.  You are in love with all those cousins and all their toys!

We also visited Lexington, KY to see family for Christmas, where Cousin Abby showed you how to ride a horse- another first for you, Babydoll!

Whew, what a year of travels it was!  You are one hot rod!  We need to get working on your passport next, Babydoll!
